Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive General Ledger/Accountant with strong proficiency in German and English to join our international finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities for our German entities and other assigned regions.

Key Reponsabilites:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities according to IFRS/local GAAP.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records for assigned entities.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Fixed Assets teams to ensure proper accounting flows.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.
• Prepare financial statements and reports as required.
• Communicate effectively with German-speaking colleagues, auditors, and stakeholders.
• Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives within the GL function.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in General Ledger or similar accounting roles.
• Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS and/or local GAAP).
• Hands-on experience with SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
